Josefina Barcia

Josefina Barcia (she/her) is an Argentine curator who graduated from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College. She is currently researching overlapping histories of music through contemporary art to trouble hegemonic discourses such as colonialism and nationalism. Recently, she curated "Bigger than Sound" at the Hessel Museum and co-organized the First Annual Conference on Artist Curated Exhibitions at Giorno Poetry Systems, NY. As a writer, Josefina has published Esta belleza no va a volver for the exhibition Foto Estudio Luisita and an interview with artists Alejandra Seeber and Leda Catunda for the exhibition Fuera de Serie at MALBA.
