Thursday, Feb. 18th – Performancy Forum at Panoply Performance Laboratory (PPL), 8 pm, 104 Meserole St, Brooklyn, New York 11206. Performancy Forum is a special performance series that encourages new experimental performance and well as audience dialogue. (HINT: Curators this is where you go if you don’t know how to find new performance artists, but what to add performance to your programming.) This Performancy Forum has an extra sweet line-up. Saturday, Feb. 20th – LiVEART.US at the Queens Museum, New York City Building, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, 3 pm. This is a new Performance Art program, which premieres this Saturday. Another good line up. The NYC art scene is priming us all for Performa. Invited artists: Martha Wilson –yes, THE Martha Wilson who runs Franklin Furnace, Bobby English Jr., Heeran Lee, Honey Jernquist (Honey McMoney), Veronica Peña, and Jacob Cohen. Organized and curated by Hector Canonge.
